Part of our collective fascination with celebrities is the fact that they are always in the public eye, which, unsurprisingly, is not an easy life to live. Between the constant scrutiny by the public and the beauty standards upheld by Hollywood, many celebrities have gone under the knife. Here, we’re going to discuss a few celebs who are confirmed to have gone under the knife.

Jane Fonda

Everyone’s favorite aerobics workout queen-turned-activist has opened up about having a few cosmetic procedures. In a good-humored manner, Jane admitted to Bob Evans (yes, that Bob Evans) that she had indeed undergone some plastic surgery after he had complimented her on her new, short hairdo. She explained that her new haircut was to distract from the work done to her under eyes, neck, and chin, in hopes everyone would think it’s just her hair that is different.

Kelly Ripa

The actress and talk show host has been open about her experience with Botox. She stated that after several people asked her what was wrong, she decided it was time to take action. She did take a short few months off in 2017 after a heavy-hand left her with “two bad sides”, but she seems to swear by the procedure.

Angelina Jolie

After losing her mother to a nearly 10-year-long battle with breast cancer, Angelina Jolie made the decision to take preventative action and undergo a double mastectomy. Following the mastectomy, Jolie also underwent a breast reconstruction surgery, explaining that her final surgery took place just nine weeks after her first.

Simon Cowell

Fans have long debated over whether The X Factor host has had any plastic surgery, which he has not yet confirmed nor denied. However, he has candidly talked about his recurrent use of Botox. Cowell even went as far as to say that in his eyes, Botox was as commonplace as brushing his teeth.

Jamie Lee Curtis

Plastic surgery has always been a bit of a taboo subject, but many were shocked when Curtis spoke out about her negative experience with the practice that had become so common for the Hollywood elite. She stated, “I’ve done it all. I’ve had a little plastic surgery. I’ve had a little lipo. I’ve had a little Botox. And you know what? None of it works. None of it.”

Heidi Montag

One of the most significant transformations of the 2000s would probably be that of Heidi Montag. Nearing the end of 2009, Montag underwent ten procedures in just one day. Those surgeries include breast augmentation, brow lift, and liposuction on various parts of her body. Just a few years later, Montag did have some of her work reversed due to some health issues resulting from her surgeries.

Betty White

Our beloved Golden Girl, Betty White, admitted in her book If You Ask Me (And of Course You Won’t) that she had undergone an eyelift back in the ‘70s. At first, she was regretful, but today,

the 97-year-old actress says she is glad to have made the decision.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson

After receiving a positive gynecomastia diagnosis, meaning The Rock would have a more difficult time maintaining his signature physique, he turned to a plastic surgeon for a little help. Following his liposuction, Johnson donned a t-shirt and some track pants to cover his scars, sparking some speculation among fans and the media.
